Our Process Will Insure as Little Disruption as Possible

Depending on the size and shape of your roof, we can typically replace your roof in less than two days, sometimes, completing the job in a single day. When you choose Emmons for your roof replacement, we’ll guide you through every step of the process and provide as little disruption to your household as possible.

To start your residential roof replacement, you can simply contact us through email or phone. We will schedule an in-person meeting and measure out your roof, check out your vents, take a few photos, and take notes on any unique elements your roof may have.

After your initial consultation choosing the material for your roof, we will deliver it to your home.

The second step to your roof replacement is getting all the roofing materials delivered to your residence. Our roofing contractor will have them delivered the afternoon before or the morning of your replacement.

Your roofing replacement material delivery will depend on the size and location of your roof. They should be kept in a dry area near the roof access point when delivered.

When our contractor arrives at your home, they’ll ensure all your vehicles are moved out of your driveway or garage. If the car is in the garage and won’t be used during your replacement, then moving is not necessary.

Our roofing contractor does this so you can come and go as you please. They don’t want to block you or your family from doing your daily routine.

It also protects your vehicles from any stray debris that could fall from your roof. For example, you don’t want damage done by falling roof debris to your vehicle.

We will prepare the property for the roof tear-off. We will tarp the ground and surrounding areas of your house for a dump zone. We will protect any outdoor furniture, landscaping, etc., during the roof tear-off. 

After our roofing contractor covers everything, they’ll begin tearing off your old roof section by section. They’ll start on the furthest corner of your roof away from your driveway, so they’re always moving towards the dumpster and the new roofing materials.

After the roofing sections are torn off, some of the roof installers will stay behind to begin installing your new roof, while the others continue tearing off. This saves time during your installation.

Your gutters will be cleaned out or replaced depending on the type of job. The roofing materials or debris from the tear-off, leaves, needles, or other blockages will be removed and put in the dumpster.

Our roofing contractors will install your new roof with the singles you picked. We will install your new roof and work our way section by section. Underlay and drip edge will be first, then we will start laying out your shingles. Once the shingles are installed, we will put all the ridge capping in place. The last install will be your vents for roof ventilation.

We can install your new roof in one day, depending on the weather and how big your roof. 

After your new roof has been installed, our roofing contractors will begin the cleanup process. They’ll blow and sweep off your roof, so all the leftover debris gets down on the tarps and into the dump truck or container.

After your roof has been replaced and your property has been cleaned up, our roofing contractors will double-check the finished product. They’ll get on your roof, take a look around, and make sure the quality of the roof matches the high standards you expect when investing in a roof replacement.
